I have been in a wheelchair since 1985 so I understand first hand how
frustrating it can be to try to arrange a holiday away.
I live in Cairns in beautiful Far North Queensland and we would like to make
sure that your visit is one that you will want to remember.
I can't remember how many times I have visited a location that I have been told is
wheelchair accessible only to find out once I get there that it really isn't. Not only have
you wasted your time and money but you may also find yourself stranded with out
suitable accommodation! Your holiday is ruined before it has begun! This is where we
come to the rescue. I will personally visit locations for you with your needs in mind to
make sure your accommodation is suitable before you arrive.
Things that most people take for granted are not that simple from a wheelchair.
Bathroom accessibility, the height of the bed are just 2 examples of the things that can
make a huge difference. Restaurants, theatres and sightseeing destinations, we can
check them all out for you prior to your visit so you will know what to expect once you
get there. Just let us know where you would like to visit and where you would like to
stay and we will personally check out the locations for you to make sure they really are
accessible to you, for your personal individual needs. I will send you a report including
pictures on the locations you have requested. Further more if you require any
particular service while you are here, we can track that down for you too.
